Back in 2017 when I started handcrafting beaded jewelry, never did I imagine it would grow from a hobby to a passion. I was going through such a tough time during that year (if you know you know), however, I found my "purpose through my pain". God had a plan for my life!
The year 2019, changed my life! This was the year I met my current partner, Dwayne, another gift that God gave to me was someone like-minded. This dude has such a drive to succeed, he showed perseverance through pain, and he showed dedication through the struggle. He encouraged me to separate my personal social media page(s) from my "business" page, I didn't understand it at first and neither did I want to "own" a jewelry business, I just wanted my dance camp and that was it. Nonetheless, I listened and created @chosen31handcraft on my Instagram page and eventually created a chosen31handcraft.com website and the rest is history. In 2019, I also became part of what is now known as Wingster & Philibert Studios, a production company yours truly manages. I mean who would've thought this was the plan God had for me?
Relocating to a place where I barely knew anyone took courage, faith, and a willingness to survive. Relocating to another state was part of my plan, but not only was it my plan, I believe it was God's plan. I prayed and ask the Holy Spirit to allow me to meet more like-minded people, people that love God, people that are honest and genuine, people that are creative and the list goes on. I mean when you ask God for what you want with a pure heart, he gives it to you! Don't get me wrong I miss my family a whole ton, but I knew this journey would be worth it. After settling in 2020, during the pandemic, Dwayne and I decided to join forces to combine our individual skills and experiences and become business partners.
Based in Florida, Chosen Veterans Enterprise was born on 08.20.2021. Honestly, that's when it became legal, but we have been pouring our gifts into the community individually and collectively long before then. Chosen Veterans Enterprise represents my love for the scripture "We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood..." and Dwayne being a US Marine Corps Veteran, our "baby" was born. Today, Chosen Veteran Enterprise is a multi-service small business that offers a wide range of services including photography/videography, website design, book publishing, beaded jewelry, conceal carry courses, dance camps, and a virtual run club. Each service is designed to cater to different interests and needs while supporting the mission of the business.
2022 was a challenging year for us financially and personally, life was hard, but we never gave up! We continued to serve our community and even started a non-profit with a board of dynamic individuals; Chosen Veterans Outreach, Inc. was born in March of 2022, soon to be a 501c3 incorporation!
This year, we officially received our trademark brand, so when you see Chosen Veterans Enterprise® mark, just know we are legit and making BIG moves!
As young entrepreneurs, we are learning every day to celebrate our losses and our wins. Our goal is to continue to be servant leaders in our community far and near. We want to be a beacon of hope in a dark world, we want to meet people at their needs, we want to help those who can't help themselves. Through our gifts and talents we have touched the lives of many and our prayer is to continue to do so with integrity, compassion, character, competency, knowledge, and most of all faith and works!
